It is certain that the next President of Ghana will come from the North. What is important now is to choose the one who has the ability to competently lead the nation. President *Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo* toured the North to canvas votes for his Vice President and NPP Presidential Candidate, H. E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. He  made a strong case for Dr. Bawumia to lead Ghana in 2025. 

It is important to note that, it is not only President Nana Akufo-Addo who has seen the value of Dr. Bawumia to Ghana but many well meaning Ghanaians. Someone once said that the best thing President Nana Akufo-Addo has done for the people of Ghana is discovering Dr. Bawumia. It is unarguably fact as President Nana Akufo-Addo has praised him on many occasions for being an excellent Vice President to him. Former President Kufuor also strongly  believes in Dr. Bawumia's ability to lead Ghana. 

When President Nana Akufo-Addo visited Walewale in June, 2021, he emphatically stated that the people of Walewale and Mamprugu in general have given him a first class Vice President. President Nana Akufo-Addo appreciates the valuable support and contribution Dr. Bawumia has made towards the development of Ghana. 

During the COVID-19 pandemic that threw the whole world, not only Ghana, into wild fear and anxiety, standing boldly behind President Nana Akufo-Addo was his right hand man, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. President Nana Akufo-Addo eulogized Dr. Bawumia for being there for him during the pandemic. President Nana Akufo-Addo indicated in May, 2023 after successfully managing the COVID-19 pandemic that, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was his reliable source of support in those darkest and most trying moments. 

President Nana Akufo-Addo has high hope and confidence in Dr. Bawumia's ability to lead this country. He believes with Dr. Bawumia as the next President of Ghana, he can confidently retire to Kyebi, knowing very well that Ghana is in safe hands and that the good projects started by him like the FSHS education will not be cancelled but protected and improved.

President Nana Akufo-Addo has closely worked with Dr. Bawumia and he is the best person to perfectly describe him. President Nana Akufo-Addo is in a best position to recommend him to Ghanaians. 

President Nana Akufo-Addo on the 14th October, 2024 visited the North East Region, the home region of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to rally support for him and the parliamentary candidates. He once again indicated his trust and confidence in Dr. Bawumia. He told the good people of North East Region to vote massively for Dr. Bawumia not because he is a Mamprusi but he has the quality to be the President of Ghana.

President Nana Akufo-Addo believes in Dr. Bawumia's ability to lead Ghana in 2025, unlike the alternative, whose boss lost trust and confidence in him and had to set up a committee to investigate him on corruption issues.
