1. The National First Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC),  Hon. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo in 2015, told the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Ghanaians that it was an absurdity to demand for auditing of the Electoral Commission (EC) register for the 2016 general elections. Today, NDC who saw it as absurdity to call for the audit of the voters register in 2015 are the very people demanding forensic audit of the voters register. What has changed, NDC? Haven't you been involved in the whole process of registration by the EC as you indicated in 2015?

2. In 2016, the General Secretary of the NDC, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah told political parties and Ghanaians that if they  believed EC has lost credibility, then they had a problem. He gave chronology of appointments of EC directors and officers by previous regimes that did not culminate to victory for them. Today, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah is crying foul all over the place and wants us to believe that EC is not credible now. What has changed? Or does Mr. Asiedu Nketiah has a problem? Just asking!

3. Mr. John Mahama in 2016 said among others that "…If you notice, in the run up to the election, there has been a consistent criticism of the Electoral Commission. Indeed they have said the most unspeakable things about the Chairman of the Electoral Commission and that is all preparing the minds of their supporters for when they lose, so when they lose, they can blame the Electoral Commission as not being neutral.” Dear Ghanaians, Mr. John Mahama and the NDC are preparing the minds of their supporters for defeat, just to put the blame on the innocent EC afterwards. 

4. The contradictory king , Mr. John Mahama further said in 2016 that “Some of them have gone to the extent of saying the Electoral Commission is preparing to rig the elections for John Mahama. What absurd nonsense? Ghana’s Electoral system is one of the best in the world. Note my words, not in Africa, in the world because it has inherent instruments for guaranteeing its integrity.” I think it is fair to tell Mr. John Mahama that, it is absurd nonsense to say that the EC is planning to rig the 2024 election for someone. 

5. Mr. John Mahama in 2016 told Ghanaians who were criticizing the EC to leave it in peace. He said “We have some political parties that have a tradition of haranguing and just harassing the commission and I think that must stop. Leave the commission in peace to do its work, it’s done it before, so let them do the work,” Mr. John Mahama and the NDC, kindly leave the EC in peace to do its work. Do not put any pressure on it, it has done it before. 

6. Please, Dear Discerning Ghanaian, do not join the NDC for this needless and fruitless demonstration. They are bereft of ideas and are hanging their hope on mind game politicking but Ghanaians do not have short memories as their flagbearer claimed sometime ago. The EC has refuted the frivolous allegations against it by the NDC and it appears the NDC is just angry and bitter for the imminent defeat they have foreseen. 

7. The Alternative Is Still Empty, Disastrous And Clueless. Upgrading Over Resetting Anyday.
