The Voiceless media can confirm that at the end of the close of nominations  for the Walewale Parliamentary, rerun only two persons picked  forms to contest the primaries slated for  Monday, September 9, 2024.

The two are Hon Hajia  Lariba Abudu Zuwera,  the incumbent member of Parliament for the Walewale constituency, and  Dr Kabiru Tiah Mahama, a Technical Economic Advisor at the Office of the Vice President of Ghana 

The need for the Parliamentary rerun in the Walewale constituency was occasioned by the ruling of a Tamale High Court on Tuesday. September 3, 2024, to the effect thar the Januaruy, 27, 2024 Parliamentary primaries of the Walewale constituency were fraught with constitutional and statutory violations  making the election null and void.

A little over 800 delegates are expected to exercise their franchise once again on Monday to pick a parliamentary candidate of the NPP for the Walewale constituency towards December  7.  2024 .
