Some NDC youth in the Kpatinga community of the Gushegu Constituency have defected to the NPP  during  campaign rounds of Hon Hassan Tampuli citing free SHS as their reason for abandoning the NDC.

Speaking through their leader, they announced that they had challenges furthering their SHS education but were able to continue their studies when the NPP came to government in 2016 and will therefore be ambassadors for the NPP and Free SHS in the Gushegu Constituency.  

The defectees also praised the MP for Gushegu Hon Hassan Tampuli for his many developmental projects in the area and pledged to work for his reelection to continue his good works.

The campaign tour of Hon Hassan Tampuli and his team is receiving high acceptance, and it is believed that both the MP and Dr Bawumia would win convincingly on December 7, 2024, in the Gushegu Constituency.
