The Voiceless Media can confirm that Dr Kabiru Mahama,  who was declared winner of the NPP Parliamentary Primaries in the Walewale constituency on January 27, 2024 but  which victory the Tamale High Court described as  irregular  and rule for a rerun of the elections would contest the Parliamentary rerun in the constituency. 

Whilst some supporters of Dr. Kabiru Mahama are  asking him to just contest as an Independent Parliamentary Candidate, the Voiceless Media, after various interviews with multiple sources can confirm that he would go for the rerun. 

The NPP has released a timetable for the Parliamentary primaries rerun.

Opening of nominations starts on Tuesday,  3rd September,  2024. 

Closing of nomination is September 5, 2024, and the election is slated for September 8, 2024.
