6 TO CONTEST NPP PRIMARIES IN THE NALERIGU/GAMBAGA CONSTITUENCY

The Voiceless media can confirm that six people will contest the NPP primaries in the Nalerigu/Gambaga constituency when the party opens nominations there early next year for its Parliamentary primaries.
The six are:
Mr Peter Baga who was once a DCE of the area and thrice contested the NPP primaries in the constituency. He was also once a Deputy Director General at NADMO.
Peter Baga was also once the NPP chairman for the constituency.
Mr Mohammed Sampa who is also eyeing the seat, twice contested the NPP primaries in the constituency but was not successful.
He was a Deputy Managing Director of the Metro Mass Transit Company.
Another person who has indicated his intention to contest the primaries is Nurideeni Mohammed Mumuni.
He is currently the Regional Youth organiser of the NPP in the North East region and also Regional Coordinator of the Youth Employment Agency in the area.
Hajia Rashida Mahama, who is presently the DCE of the area will also contest the primaries.
She was until her appointment as DCE, the North East Regional Women's Organiser of the NPP.
Malam Nurini Fuseini, a younger brother of the North East Regional Chairman of the NPP, Chairman Nuru has also openly declared his intention to contest the primaries.
Mr Gideon Gurma, a former communication member of the NPP in the Northern Region has also expressed his intention to contest the NPP primaries.
The number of contestants for the NPP primaries in the Nalerigu/Gambaga constituency is likely to go up to 11 contestants by the time of the primaries per information available to the Voiceless media.
The NPP according to sources close to the Voiceless media can win the Nalerigu/Gambaga seat but it is feared that an acrimonious primaries may deny the NPP the seat.
