Five  Members of Parliament who are going uncontested in the NPP primaries in the Northern Region shall be acclaimed in their various Constituencies on Sunday according to Voiceless Media sources. 

The five to receive acclamation are: Hon Habib Iddrisu of the Tolon Constituency,  Hon Dr Adam Mohammed Amin (Anta) of Karaga, Alhaji Alhassan S. Tampuli of Gushegu, Hon Thomas Mbomba of Tatale/Sanguli and Hon Dominic Nitiwul of Bimbila. 

The acclamation will make those MPs official Parliamentary Candidates of the NPP  for their Constituencies ahead of the December, 7, 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary elections. 

It is expected that the unopposed Candidates shall have enough time to kick start their campaigns in their various Constituencies and to also embark on unity drives aimed at bringing various stakeholders on board towards a resounding victory in their Constituencies. 

The December 7, 2024 election is going to be history making one for the two main Political parties in Ghana. 

Whilst the NDC is presenting a retired President who wants to stage  historic come back, the NPP is presenting Dr Bawumia who aims to break the eight for the NPP and serve as president of Ghana  for the first time.
