Industrialization is one of the key components of economic development. Industrialization adds value to the raw materials produced, which adds to GDP. Moreso, industrialization provides a ready market for locally produced raw materials and also reduces unemployment. It is of this importance why the government is fully committed to the 1D1F agenda.

Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Minister For Education, is working behind the clock to make sure that the government realizes this dream by strengthening and upgrading TVET education in the country.

The hardworking Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, almost all the technical universities, and schools have seen a remarkable improvement and face-left in terms of infrastructure and well-equipped mechanized equipment and technology.

Currently, the following schools are well-equipped with facilities;
Takoradi Technical University
TTU has been installed with Petro – Chemical and Hydraulic Teaching Systems.

Kumasi Technical University
KTU has been installed with Mechatronics Teaching Systems, thus Mechanical and Electronics teaching Systems combined, coupled with the installation of a computer laboratory that is Internet ready for multimedia.


Koforidua Technical University
Koforidua Technical University has been supplied with Mechanical, Electrical / Electronics, and Auto Engineering Teaching Systems.

Wa Polytechnic
The Polytechnic has been supplied with Mechanical, Electrical / Electronics, and Auto Engineering Teaching Systems, etc.

This initiative by Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, through the support of the government, is to facilitate and accelerate the government's 1D1F agenda. This will also ensure the sustainability of the initiative and provide an available market for graduates coming out of these institutions.
