A former Aspiring Parliamentary Candidate in the Tolon Constituency of the Northern Region, Chief Akilu Sayibu, has called on his supporters to rally behind Hon. Habib Iddrisu to retain the Tolon Parliamentary seat for the NPP in the election 2024.

Chief Akilu Sayibu, who is also the Managing Director of the Voiceless Media and Consult, also called on the electorates in the Tolon Constituency to vote massively for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on December 7, 2024, to continue his good works to the nation and humanity.

Speaking to the media in Accra, Chief Akilu Sayibu explained that his current decision to allow the incumbent MP to go uncontested was the right one at this time.

According to Chief Akilu Sayibu, his presence in the contest was to retain the Tolon seat for the NPP, and that is exactly what he wishes for Hon. Habib Iddrisu, especially as he was no longer in the contest.

"The closing date for filing of Parliamentary papers has ended, and Hon. Habib is our sole candidate, and must have our total support unconditionally," Chief Akilu opined.

Chief Akilu Sayibu, who was executing an aggressive and robust campaign, promised to dedicate his resources, talents and time to support Hon. Habib Iddrisu unconditionally to win the Tolon seat for the benefit of a Dr. Bawumia Presidency.

He noted that, breaking the eight is not an easy task, and he believes that getting into Election 2024 in a united spirit would make work of the NPP easy, hence his last minute decision to step down for the incumbent MP.

Chief Akilu Sayibu also used the opportunity to thank his family, friends, loyal and dedicated supporters for always standing by him throughout the campaign advocacy, and stated that their sacrifices for his bid would not be forgotten.

"I appreciate and adore all of you, and will never abandon you", he stated.
