The 24-hour economy brouhaha .We need a document or a framework on how the 24-hour economy would be implemented by the proponents of the policy. Just throwing the idea out doesn't make it a policy.There would be Technical, legal and financial challenges in the implementation of such policy.

The proponents of the policy need to justify how it is going to be implemented. Currently,our legal regime has not made provision for a 24-hour economy.A 24-hour economy would come with logistics and wage increase that would pose financial burden to the Government. The practicability of the policy would be met by technical ramifications and bottlenecks which obviously would affect the smooth implementation of the policy. Our labour law especially, needs to be reviewed to accommodate such policy if indeed it is going to be possible. John Mahatma and the NDC should tell Ghanaians the feasibility of this 24- hour economy.

Digitalization which is a technology driven economy would formalize the Ghana's economy and when that is done 24- hour economy would automatically exists. John Mahatma should be talking about formalizing the economy through digitalization.
Formalizing the economy through digitalization is the surest way of economic transformation. Dr Bawumia and the NPP are focusing on formalizing the economy through digitalization. John Mahama should rethink and stop throwing into air policies which are not carefully thought through. We need practical solutions in the transformational agenda for Ghana's economy and Dr Bawumia is the surest bet.
