Dear NPP Party Leadership,

As we stand on the brink of an impending parliamentary election, it is with a sense of urgency and dedication to the principles of fairness and transparency that I bring attention to a matter of concern within our party - the declaration of support by regional executives for incumbent MPs.

While regional executives are expected to maintain a neutral stance, recent observations suggest that some have openly declared support for incumbent MPs and have in some instances made themselves speakers and campaigners for some Parliamentary aspirants. Video and audio evidence exist to back this.

Their outmoded behaviour is seemingly driven by personal interests.

This raises a red flag, as it challenges the fundamental tenet of neutrality that is vital for the integrity of our party's internal processes.

The question that echoes in the minds of party members is, how can a regional executive, entrusted with impartiality, openly endorse an incumbent candidate?

This apparent conflict of interest not only undermines the principles we hold dear but also raises doubts about the fairness of the electoral process. All Regional Executives who have openly declared support for MPs and Parliamentary Candidates should not be deployed to those constituencies to supervise any elections.

Allowing regional executives to overtly support incumbents while simultaneously overseeing parliamentary elections risks compromising the neutrality required for a free and fair democratic exercise.

Such a scenario can cast shadows on the credibility of our party's internal mechanisms and jeopardize the trust delegates place in the process.

It is imperative that the party takes a second look at this issue and devises a reasonable solution. A mechanism to ensure that regional executives remain neutral in their dealings with delegates must be implemented promptly. This is crucial not only to uphold the democratic values we stand for but also to prevent potential conflicts that could arise in the upcoming parliamentary election.

If corrective measures are not taken swiftly, discontent may brew among aspirants who perceive favoritism, leading some to consider independent routes. This, in turn, could pose a serious threat to the party's chances of maintaining its stronghold and breaking the 8 in the upcoming general election.

Let us uphold the principles of fairness, transparency, and party unity. By addressing this concern proactively, we can fortify the democratic foundation upon which our party stands and secure our success in the imminent parliamentary election.

Sincerely,
