NPP - UK BRANCH DECLARES SUPPORT FOR DR BAWUMIA AHEAD OF NOVEMBER 4 DELEGATES CONFERENCE

The Leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) UK - branch have unanimously declared their support for the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, to lead the party into the 2024 general elections.
The declaration was made in a closed - door meeting which took place on 25" August 2023,
when the NPP UK branch leadership were in Ghana for the Super - Delegates election and paid an official courtesy call on the Vice President in his campaign office at 23 Examination Drive, Ridge, Accra.
The Branch Party Executives led by its Chairman, Mr. Kingsley Adumattah Agyapong, in a press release on Sunday 8th October, 2023, unanimously pledged their support for the Vice President.
The other top Executives present at the meeting together with the Branch Chairman, were the First Vice Chairman, Mr Alex Appiah Mensah, the Secretary, Mr Otuo Acheampong, and the Women’s Organiser, Ms Patricia Achiaa Boakye.
The NPP UK Branch leadership took the opportunity to thank the Vice President for honouring their invitation to grace the occasion of the NPP International Women’s Conference 2023 held in London.
The Executives expressed that, they believe the Vice President, amongst all other candidates, is the one who can lead the NPP to retain power and break the eight - year cyclical change of governance between the ruling New Patriotic Party and the opposition NDC party.
This will help the NPP to continue the good developmental programmes and initiatives laid down by the party for the betterment of the country.
The branch executives highlighted that they took the decision to make the declaration to support the Vice President after critically assessing all the candidates and based on several discussions
with the general membership in the UK. The opinions of the majority of members were that the candidature of Dr Bawumia is strategically important and the right move to break the
eight.
The Leadership further pledged at the meeting to do everything within their powers to secure a convincing victory for the Vice President not only in the just ended Super -delegates election but also in the upcoming general Delegates election on 4th November. The UK Branch Leadership congratulated the Vice President for his hard work and wished him all the best.
On his part, the Vice President delightfully expressed his appreciation to the UK branch party executives and thanked the NPP UK for their continuous support for the government, and the president.
