A Parliamentary Primaries aspirant in the Mion Constituency of the Northern Region, Hon Musah Superior has described as misguided, misleading and outright intermeddling alleged  claims by the Member of Parliament for  Tolon, Alhaji Habib Iddrisu to the effect that anybody contesting the current Mion MP Alhaji Musah Ayaba will have a showdown with him.

Speaking on Begu Neeya programme on Sagani TV in Tamale on September, 19, 2023,. Musah Superior admonished the Tolon MP,  Hon Habib Iddrisu to concentrate on his own contest in the Tolon Constituency and not to be dabbling in the internal contest of a Constituency he knows nothing about.  

The former Tamale Mayor, cautioned the Second Deputy Chief Whip of Parliament to stay away from what he described as self aggrandizing  comments and rather work towards promoting unity in the Northern Region. 

Hon Musah Superior also dismissed claims that the Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was to protect seating MPs against a contest and asked his sympathizers and supporters to ignore such cheap and self-seeking propaganda. 

Musah Superior who is projected to win the Mion Parliamentary primaries say that his current strategy of sleeping in communities across the Constituency was to afford him the opportunity to know the people and Constituency better. 

The Deputy CEO of the Forestry Commission explained further that it was unacceptable for Members of Parliament to not have houses in their Constituencies.  How can you be representing the people in Parliament and don't want to stay with them in the Constituency he asked. 

Musah Superior is one of the oldest members of the NPP in the Northern Region. He was a Member of the Busia/Danquah Club which transformed into the NPP and has a better understanding of NPP Politics across the Northern Region and the Country. 

Musah Superior once contested to become National Organizer of the NPP in 2005 but was unsuccessful.  He became the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Tamale Central Constituency in 2012 but was not successful in winning the seat.  He recently placed third position out of six others in his bid to come the General Secretary of the NPP. With a very formidable Political experience, it is believed that Musah Superior will be lucky this time in the Mion Constituency.
