WE DESERVE TO HAVE THE ACHIEVERS' CARS IN GHANA FOR TOURISM

I have followed the story of Ghanaians who set the object of travelling to UK by road using their own cars and of course they have made it.

It took them 16 days and they  covered 10,000km/ to successfully  arrived in the UK through Spain and Germany.

For the purpose of History, tourism and business, Ghana government should take interest and act fast before the benefits from this achievement record eludes us.

We are reliably informed that the automobile companies are using the success story to promote and market their brands. Yes, we can not deny them  that, and they have agreed to make the Achievers' brand ambassadors with  lots of offers and that one too is good.

But what will be the benefit of the achievement to Ghana?

Looking beyond capturing the Achievers names in Guinness book of records, Ghana should negotiate with the Achievers to bring these cars to Ghana and use the car as tourism attraction monuments deposited at the right place to   be used  for both domestic and international tourism.

This is an income generation opportunity that should go to any other countries.

I learnt the automobile companies and other individuals are trying to convince these Achievers to auction these cars.

If they mistakenly do so, those buyers will become secondary achievers who may use these cars for tourism attraction to generate income in their respective countries.

Again I am of the further view that we should seriously monitor these automobile companies, once they have decided to service the cars free and ship them to Ghana, they will not change them and ship down replaced ones. We want the original cars ship down not imitation.

Our brothers (achievers) should also consider the continuous cash flow they will make from these cars instead of a lump sum today.

We leave it to  the appropriate ministries to work on these suggestions.

Thanks
