NORTHERN REGION

¶ NDC's parliamentary seats were reduced from 20 in 2008 to 11 in 2012 in the Northern Region.

NPP went further to break even in 2016 and 2020 (9 seats each to NPP & NDC).

∆ The NPP's Presidential Candidate's performance from 2008 in terms of percentages are as follows;

2008 - 37.7%

2012 - 38.78%

2016 - 41.34%

2020 - 46.08%

SAVANNAH REGION

¶ Out of the Seven (7) parliamentary seats in the Savanna Region (home region of NDC Presidential Candidate), NPP had none during 2012 general elections.

But in 2016, NPP managed to snatch one (1) seat from NDC and further added two (2) more seats making three (3) during 2020 general elections.

∆ The NPP's Presidential Candidate's performance from 2012 in terms of percentages are as follows;

2012 - 34.51%

2016 - 33.40%

2020 - 35.19%

NORTH EAST REGION

¶ In 2012, NPP won four (4) out of six (6) parliamentary seats in the North East Region.

Unfortunately, NPP lost one (1) of the four (4) parliamentary seats to NDC in 2016 to break even.

But in 2020 general elections, NPP won four (4) Parliamentary Seats again leaving NDC with two (2).

∆ The NPP's Presidential Candidate's performance from 2012 in terms of percentages are as follows;

2012 - 44.86%

2016 - 49.38%

2020 - 51.37%

UPPER EAST REGION

¶ But I will be hypocrite if I fail to talk about NPP's relatively poor parliamentary and presidential performances in the Upper East Region.

As the party is still struggling to win back the four (4) parliamentary seats in 2008.

In 2012, NPP parliamentary seats were reduced to two (2) and increased to three (3) during the 2016 general elections.

Unfortunately, NPP currently has only one (1) parliamentary seat in the Upper East Region.

∆ The NPP's Presidential Candidate's performance from 2008 in terms of percentages are as follows;

2008 - 35.25%

2012 - 29.29%,

2016 - 34.93%

2020 - 34.44%

UPPER WEST REGION

¶ From one (1) Parliamentary seat in 2004 to three (3) seats in 2008.

Unfortunately, NPP got no parliamentary seat in 2012 but came back strongly to win five (5) parliamentary seats leaving NDC with six (6) during2016 elections.

During the 2020 elections, NPP lost two (2) of its parliamentary seats to NDC.

So currently NPP has three (3) and NDC has eight (8) parliamentary seats in the Upper West Region.

∆ The NPP's Presidential Candidate's performance from 2000 in terms of percentages are as follows;

2000 - 15.51%

2004 - 32.22%

2008 - 37.72%

2012 - 29.26%,

2016 - 35.94%

2020 - 29.89%

Anybody who belittles DMB's positive influence to NPP's electoral gains in the five (5) northern regions is just doing so to satisfy his/her own whims and caprices.

The data speaks for its self.

It is not about hate speeches, videos, audios, write ups against one another.

I welcome all intellectual discourse.

NB: I welcome all inaccuracy (ies) if any in terms of data provided.

Thank you.
