On the matter of the Assin North Rally yesterday

Vice President. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia  entry to the Assin North NPP rally grounds was not different from any other entry for such occasions and purposes.  The Vice President, in the company of  the President, Chief of Staff, National Chairman, and some other Party and government officials paid a courtesy call to the chief of Breku before heading to the rally ground  As protocol demands, although both the President and Vice President left the chief's palace the same time, the Vice President ought to have arrived at the venue before the President.  There were two entrances to the rally stage. The President used the main entrance, and the Vice President had to use the other one through the crowd in order to arrive before the President. At all material moments that the President and Vice President arrive at such programs, any other activity halts for them to be ushered in, in line with protocol and security arrangements.  I am surprised that some people are trying to make political meat out of this. 

The disrespect displayed in the failed attempt to court disaffection for the Vice President by those blaming him for not waiting for a presidential aspirant to finish his speech before the entry of the Vice President is shocking 

We have elections to win tomorrow at Assin North. Let's us rally behind the Party and Charles Opoku for a rebounding victory tomorrow.
