There was drama in Parliament on the 10thFebruary, 2023 when the former Minority Leader of Parliament, Hon Haruna Iddrisu of Tamale South appeared in Parliament to a missing seat.
The former Minority leader was offered an "Improvised" seat belonging to Hon Collins Dawuda which he turned down and indicated that Hon Collins was both his senior in age and in Parliament and he didn't deem it right occupying his seat.
In the circumstance, the Tamale South legislator had to make use of an immediate temporary alternative seat in the House and had to remind members that he was still the elected member of parliament for Tamale South after making a contribution on the floor of parliament.
It is not clear why adequate and conclusive arrangements were not made for the seat of the Tamale South legislator before his arrival.
It is not immediately known whether the act was a deliberate omission or a sincere oversight.
When the Voiceless media reporter in Tamale visited some communities in the Tamale South constituency, they were visibly angry at the treatment of their elected member of Parliamentary and have therefore called on the Ato Forson led Minority leadership to apologise to Hon Haruna Iddrisu and find the Tamale South seat for their MP or face their wrath.
It is not known at this stage how the NDC under the chairmanship of Asiedu Nketiah would respond to this latest development.
One thing however is clear, all is not well in the opposition NDC.
