A media Aide to Hon Annoh- Dompreh, Mr Martin Pepreh  has  confirmed  to the voiceless media  that  a committee by name Economic Committee of Cabinet do exists and the former  Minister of Trade and Industries Hon Alan Kyeremanteng  was the Chairman of the committee until his resignation  to pursue another interest. 

Other members of the Economic  Committee of Cabinet includes:

 1. Minister of Finance

2. Minister of  Food and Agriculture 

3. Minister of Energy 

4. Minister of Employment and Labour Relations 

5. Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture

6. Minister of Public Enterprises

7. Senior Presidential Advisor 

8. Presidential Advisor on the Economy. 

'From the above,  it is safe to conclude that Hon Alan Kyeremanteng and his Team peddled a blatant untruth when they said in a statement that such a committee never existed'  Mr Peprah intimated. 

The Aide stated further that the Alan Team  were   misleading the general public and  tryng in vain to absolve  Hon Alan Kyeremanteng  of the challenges facing the Ghanaian economy. 

The general public should beware of a man who is campaigning to become a Presidential Candidate but does not have the character and temperament of accepting responsibilities Mr Peprah cautioned. 

It must be recalled that Hon Annoh- Dompreh had disclosed in an interview a couple of days ago that Hon Alan Kyeremanteng chaired a Cabinet Economic Committee of which the Alan Kyeremanteng's Team had denied. 

It now appears Hon  Annoh- Dompreh spoke the truth.
