Isaac Adongo, MP, Bolgatanga Central Constituency in a viral video is heard joining the likes of Sammy Gyamfi, Malik Basintale and Co in the gutters, spewing delusional sentiments against the NDC all time nightmare, H. E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia . It is unfortunate that a person who is supposed to be measured in his utterances stoop so low to this level of politicking. It is absurd, unthinkable and a mark of desperation for power through concoction and naked lies. 

In addressing party faithfuls in Kumasi, Isaac Adongo said among others that "For those of you in the Zongo community, they will come and tell you that Dr. Bawumia is a Muslim. Today, those of you who are close to Dr. Bawumia, I want you to go and tell him. He started by drinking wine and we forgave him. He progressed to drinking whisky and dancing off beat and walking carelessly. Now, he has decided to be chewing pork, tell him that the people of Bolga has asked me to come and tell him, led by our leader, who is the Dog Eaters Association of Ghana and Internationally, Clement Apaak that if he makes a mistake and he joins in the eating of dog , we will beat him in Bolga". Really! Is this coming from Isaac Adongo? So crazy. 

 It is common knowledge that Dr. Bawumia is neither corrupt, a womanizer nor a drunkard. Dr. Bawumia does not move with any suspicious flask. Dr. Bawumia does not eat pork, so stop your wicked lies. He is a Muslim and what you are saying would not change anything about his faith. In the first place, who are you, Adongo to determine his faith in God? It is even disrespectful to direct Zongo people to tell Dr. Bawumia about your nonsensical comments. 

It is obvious that the NDC have woefully failed the Zongo Communities in Ghana after their massive support for them over the years and witnessing the massive love of the Zongo Communities for Dr. Bawumia, their only hope now is nothing but wicked propaganda against his faith. It is understandable because they lack developmental track record in the Zongo Communities, hence, this despicable comments from the like of Isaac Adongo.

The Nana-Bawumia government have been very helpful to the Zongo Communities since assumption of office in 2017. This government deemed it important in creating the whole Ministry for Zongo and Intercity Development. The Nana-Bawumia government have, for the first time since independence, created Zongo Development Fund for the development of Zongo and Muslim Communities. As I write, 40 students from Zongo Communities across the country are pursuing Medicine in abroad under full government scholarship and will complete as Medical Doctors to serve their communities. It is not about promising Zongo Communities of building mortuaries for them. 

The Zongo Development Fund Secretariat has constructed over 20 Astro Turfs in Zongo Communities across the country. It has also provided community street lightening systems across Zongo Communities for safety and security at night. Portable water systems are also provided to some Zongo Communities in Ghana. This is what the Zongo Communities are looking for but not character assassinations. 

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's personal contributions to the Zongo and Muslim Communities in Ghana are enormous. He has built and rehabilitated many mosques across the country, which include but not limited to Tamale Central Mosque, Kumasi Central Mosque, Prang Mosque and Larbanga Mosque. Dr. Bawumia has offered assistance in many forms to many Zongo Communities and individuals. 

Courtesy of NPP and Dr. Bawumia, 6-unit classroom blocks in the following Zongo Settlements have been constructed; Barekese Zongo, Asokore Zongo, Seniagya Zongo, Buaho Zongo, Pekyei No. 1 Zongo, Otaakrom (Atwima Mponua Zongo), Akuprem Zongo, Mishio (NER), Bodi Zongo, Nagodi (UWR), Bodua Zongo (WNR), Adibiya Islamic School, Tamale (NR), Bogoso Zongo, Wassa Amenfi Zongo, Goyiri (SR), Tolon (NR), Badariya Islamic School, Kintampo Zongo (BER), Kpando Zongo (VR), etc. There are lots of projects the Nana-Bawumia government are executing for the Zongo Communities that the NDC never thought of carrying out for them except to use and neglect them. 

Fortunately, the people in the Zongo Communities are discerning and are not ready for any unscrupulous and irresponsible comments from the like of Isaac Adongo. They are voting massively for development and the person/party that cares for them is Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia/NPP.
